Rina Herlina Haryanti

Mrs Rina Herlina Haryanti is an expert in gender and disability studies. She completed her doctorate from Universitas Padjajaran, majoring in Public Administration. She particularly interests in gender and disability issues and every policy related to them.

Prior to joining the Department of Public Administration, she was a research assistant at the Center for Population and Policy Studies Universitas Gadjah Mada. After joining the Department and teaching in classes, she also works as a gender and disability consultant/advisor for some local governments in Indonesia. Her interests and experiences In gender and disability studies also bring her became the Head of Center for Gender Research and Development Universitas Sebelas Maret from 2014 to 2019, and the secretary of the Association of Indonesian Centers for Women, Gender and Child Protection Studies since 2015.

In order to improve her capabilities, she is also actively participating in some gender and disability studies training and workshops. In 2016 and 2018, she was trained by the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection as Facilitator on National Politics with Gender Perspective (2016) and Gender Mainstreaming & Regional Gender Budgeting and Planning (2018). Also, in 2018 she was involved in a gender studies workshop held by The University of Western.
