Admission

The admission program for Bachelor’s of Public Administration is integrated into the National Testing Agency for State Universities  (LTMPT) and Universitas Sebelas Maret’s New Student Admission Selection (SPMB UNS).  There are few options available for this program admission:

SNMPTN is a selection system held on a national scale by LTMPT (https://ltmpt.ac.id) based on the results of academic achievement records and/or portfolios of prospective students in Senior High School/Islamic Senior High School/ Vocational High School (SMA/MA/SMK). Through the SNMPTN procedure, prospective students may come from STEM/Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (SAINTEK) and Liberal Art (SOSHUM) fields. Prospective students can register at LTMPT by filling in personal data, uploading report cards from grade X-XI, and selecting the study program. The LTMPT selection committee will decide whether prospective students can be accepted into the study program based on their academic achievement (report) in secondary education. The results of SNMPTN selection is accessible online by prospective students through the announcement page (https://pengumuman-snmptn.ltmpt.ac.id/) by entering the registration number.

SBMPTN is a selection system through the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) held on a national scale by LTMPT (https://ltmpt.ac.id). Prospective students may come from SAINTEK and SOSHUM fields. Prospective students can register through the registration page (https://portal.ltmpt.ac.id), fill out their biodata, choose their study programs, and select UTBK location. Participants will receive a UTBK Card which must be shown when taking UTBK test as scheduled. The UTBK scores of prospective students will be ranked by the LTMPT system to decide whether they are accepted  in the chosen study program. In accordance with Rector’s Regulation No. 39 of 2020 on Student Admissions of Bachelor Program of UNS Campus Admission  Selection II, Campus Admission Selection (SM) is a selection system that is independently managed by SPMB UNS. SM UNS is organized following SNMPTN and SBMPTN. SM UNS provides several selection schemes as follows:

  • Test-Based UNS Admission (SMJU)
    This selection is intended for SMA/MA/SMK graduates or the equivalent in the last three years.
    Through this procedure, prospective students will be selected considering the UTBK Score issued by the LTMPT in 2021. Prospective students who wish to join this selection must have conducted UTBK through the SBMPTN procedure because the selection will be graded based on the UTBK scores they have obtained. Prospective students can register to the SMJU (UTBK) through the SMPB UNS page by filling in the registration form and entering the UTBK SBMPTN Participant Number.

  • Partnership-based UNS Admission (SMJK)
    This selection is intended for graduates of SMA/MA/SMK or the equivalent within the last three years who meet the UNS predetermined requirements and are recommended by partner agencies (companies/local governments/ government institutions) that are bound with Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Campus Admission Selection Partnership between the proposing agency (partner) and UNS which is deemed valid.

  • Achievement-based UNS Admission (SMJP)
    Based on Rector’s Regulation No. 3 of 2019 on Requirements and Assessment of Outstanding Achievements in Non-Academic Field in the Student Admission for Bachelor’s and Associate’s Degree Programs at Universitas Sebelas Maret, SMJP is a selection scheme based on the academic and non-academic achievements (fields of cognition, interests/talents, religion, and others). The field of cognition includes the science olympics, student scientific work competition, Indonesian/English debate competition, science and technology competition, and others. Interest/talent area consists of sports (athletics, martial arts, games, etc.), arts (photography, Quran Recitation Competition/MTQ, singing, painting, dancing, film, etc.), design, and others. Meanwhile, the religion field includes Tahfidzul Quran (30 Juz) and Holy Book memorization.

  • UNS Admission for Students with Special Needs (SMJD)
    Campus admission for Students with Special Needs is a selection procedure for those with special needs and have graduated from SMA/MA/SMK/ Special Senior High School or the equivalent in the last three years who possess academic ability to complete higher education

  • UNS Campus Admission Selection – International Scheme
    Campus admission selection through international scheme is a selection for prospective students with foreign citizen status organized by SPMB UNS in collaboration with UNS Interna tional Office which is responsible for facilitating academic and non-academic cooperation with foreign parties (https://io.uns.ac.id/). Prospective foreign students can apply through self-funding or the UNS scholarship program which is accessible at https://spmb.uns.ac.id/berita/show?id=133 and https://io.uns.ac.id/admission/. Prospective students can register by filling in their data via https://spmb.uns.ac.id/international/registration/step-one and uploading all required documents (passport, high school diploma, transcript, health certificate, recommendation letter, and disclosure of funding source). After being declared passed the administrative selection, prospective students must take an online interview test conducted by Head of the Study Program or assigned lecturers. Interviews attempt to observe the motivation, academic potential, readiness to adapt, and the possibility to complete the study period of prospective students. Based on the assessment of the documents and the interview results, Head of the Study Program provides recommendations to the International Office regarding the acceptance or rejection of prospective students.
