Mr Didik Gunawan Suharto is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Administration Universitas Sebelas Maret and the Program Director of the Master in Public Administration Program. He also became a member of the Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) in 2019-2021. His research focuses on public administration, especially local government. His works on local government have been published in journals such as International Journal of Administrative Science & Organization: Bisnis & Birokrasi, Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Policy and Governance Review.

As a practitioner, he has a portfolio of government advisory and consultancy. He has served as a consultant to the Government of Karanganyar (2017) and Surakarta (2019). He holds a doctorate from Universitas Brawijaya, got his Master’s from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and completed a bachelor’s degree in Universitas Sebelas Maret, majoring in Public Administration.
