Mahardika Mulya Adi Pamungkas

Mahardika Mulya Adi Pamungkas is a Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs Indonesia for the Policy Analyst position. He graduated from the Bachelor of Public Administration Program in 2018. Several months after graduation, he got his first job in the Development Planning Agency of Surakarta (BAPPEDA Surakarta), and responsible for some tasks such as preparing the local development planning and budgeting. Even though he is a first jobber in Bappeda Surakarta, he said that he already familiar with the job tasks because, during his time in universities, he was used to doing the same things with his lecturers.

“When the first time I entered the office, I was amazed because the responsibility and tasks that I should carry out were the same with tasks and responsibilities I had done before, back in the day when I helped my lecturer who is also a consultant for several local government in Indonesia.”

He said that his experiences helping his professor gives him so many beneficial effects to start his career. After one year working in Bappeda Surakarta, he decided to participate in the Selection of Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs for the Policy Analyst position and succeeded. Now he is in the probation years to become a policy analyst and was placed in the Directorate General of Regional Development, the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs. He is responsible for formulating and implementing policies in government and also fostering regional development following the provisions of laws and regulations.

Okki Chandra Ambarwati

Okki Chandra Ambarwati is a Researcher Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) in the Development Planning Agency of the Central Java Province. Okki were completed her bachelor’s program in 2015 and sequentially continue her study in the Master of Public Administration at Universitas Sebelas Maret. Okki has engaged actively in some student organizations and helped her Lecturers doing some research projects. She said the experiences from participating in the organization and working with a professor gave her many beneficial impacts, including enlarging her network.

After graduates in 2015, she also worked at Non-Governmental Organization called Pattiro as a Researcher. Pattiro is a research and advocacy organization that pays attention to local governement issues, particularly in decentralization. She explained that her work at Pattiro enhance the knowledge and skills she got in class during campus life and her experiences working with the lecturer support her for perform a better work performance. She spesifically added that the research methods course given in class really helped her both while he was working at Pattiro and at her current job.

Haryomo Dwi Putranto

Mr. Haryomo Dwi Putranto is the Deputy for Human Development in Indonesian National Service Agency (Badan Kepegawaian Negara). His main responsibility is to formulate a National Employment Policy and he said this responsibility is very relevant to the study that he learned during his time in the Bachelor of Public Administration Study Program. In 2020, he also received an ‘Outstanding Alumni Award’ from the Universitas Sebelas Maret for his contribution to the Nation and also his loyalty to always bring about a good name of the almamater.
