Language Proficiency

The course works in the Bachelor of Public Administration Program are taught in Indonesia and English, so language proficiency is essential to complete the course successfully.  Following Rector’s Regulation No. 31 of 2020 on the Administration and Management of Bachelor’s Degree Programs, and Rector’s Regulation No. 499/UN27/PP/2011 on the Obligation to Pass the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) test for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Students, Bachelor’s degree students are required to master foreign languages by attending the English language training organized by UNS Language Center (https://p2b.uns.ac.id/) as a means to facilitate and improve the quality of their studies. In addition, students are required to take English courses in Semester 2 with 2 credit loads.

English proficiency is a requirement for students to take Skripsi (Final Project) examination at the end of their studies. Students must achieve a minimum EAP score of 60 or equivalent to TOEFL ITP score of 450.

In accordance with Rector’s Regulation No. 31 of 2020, all international students are also required to master Indonesian Language for Non-Native Speakers (BIPA) with a Madya (intermediate) distinction by scoring a minimum of 482 in Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI).
